Description
This is a British Sovereign Gold Coin Paperweight. This large hefty Paperweight measures 4.5″ in diameter and is .75″ thick and weighs 1 lb.. One side features a replica of the well known image of St. George and The Dragon. The reverse side features a Mottled Burgundy leather like surface with Gold lettering and a hole in the center. Issued by the Royal Mint, these Paperweights were likely given as gifts to Barclays Bank of New York customers. The condition is excellent with no loss of lettering. Dated 1984.
