Description
This is a stunning and very rare Antique WMF Secessionist Brass Tilting Teapot with Burner. The solid Brass Teapot measures 9″ by 5″ and is 7″ to the top of the finial. Features a slightly squared handle with Rattan grip and a side opening lid with Ebony handle. The interior is tin lined. The Stand measures 17″ tall and is 9″ wide and 6″ deep and it includes the original Alcohol Burner. The condition of this set is incredible for its age. There are a few small dents on the Teapot and slight damage to the Rattan on the handle. The Burner also has a couple of minor dents. There are no scratches and only minor traces of filigree and a fabulous patina. The Teapot is marked with the Ostrich and the number 50 and the Burner is also marked with the Ostrich and the number 41. This rare Teapot was manufactured by WMF in Germany sometime between 1903 and 1914.
