Description
This is a rare Pair of Danish MCM Hugo Asmussen Tear Drop Oil Burners. These sleek Brass and Glass Oil Burners measure 8 3/8″ (21 cm) tall. They are constructed of solid brass which has been through a special electrolytic treatment and coated with 24 carat Gold. The fuel holder is Black opaque glass. Both Burners retain their original wick and have a wonderful aged patina. The condition is very good with a small repair on the Glass of one burner which does not affect its use (see photos). Marked Design Asmussen 24 Carat Gold Plating Made in Denmark. Circa 1970s.
