This is a RARE Alfred Meakin Hudson Bay Route Souvenir Plate. This porcelain plate measures 9.75″ by 9.75″. It features a map of North America and various tree designs on a White and Cream border. The plate was issued to celebrate the ‘First Shipment of China ware to enter Canada Via Hudson Bay Route’. Several major cities in Canada are highlighted. The plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or flea bites. Marked Alfred Meakin England on the back. Circa 1930s.
