Description
Inspired by Charles Dickens’ first novel The Pickwick Papers; this is a vintage Royal Doulton Fat Boy Figurine. This charming lad measures 7.25″ tall and depicts ‘Fat Boy’ barely awake at his job. Dickens’ description of this boy’s health issues lead doctors years later to call his breathing ailment Pickwickian Syndrome. The condition of this figurine is near mint with no chips, cracks or flea bites. Designed by Leslie Harradine and produced between 1952-1967.
